Teen Counselling with Riches Counselling
At Riches Counselling, I understand the unique challenges that teenagers face in today's world. From social media pressures to bullying and self-esteem issues; the importance of providing a safe and supportive space for young people to explore their emotions and navigate life's complexities cannot be underestimated. Sometimes it is useful for someone external to their family, school or communities to journey alongside the young person so that they feel safe discussing and discovering themselves.
What to Expect as a Parent
As a parent, it's natural to want the best for your child. Teen counselling services aim to provide your teenager with the tools they need to cope with the challenges they're facing. I offer a confidential and non-judgmental environment where your teen can express themselves and work through their experiences with the guidance of a professional counsellor. Parents will receive a report on how the counselling is going every 6 weeks, written by myself and young person together. This can be an important and meaningful tool for further conversation and exploration at home.
What to Expect as a Young Person
Being a teenager can be tough, and it's okay to seek support. Our counselling sessions are tailored to meet the unique needs of teenagers, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, identity, self-esteem, exam stress, relationships, and more. I aim for you to feel empowered and to develop resilience and emotional well-being, to navigate the ups and downs of life.
Our sessions will be led by you and what you feel safe and ready to bring. I recognise that every individual is unique and may need different things from counselling. In order to acknowledge your uniqueness, we can use creative or symbolic methods, games, talking or many other methods to make sure you feel seen and heard.
